Making Ends Meet

It's everybody's goal to make sure that they run out of the month before they run out of money. In the present economical times, it has made that more difficult, but by no means impossible.

One TV show that I love to watch is Til Debt Do Us Part. It's very real. I watch it and I'm amazed at how many people have no idea how much money they even make per month. I know that it is easy to lose track of expenses and cash if you don't have a budget or any type of system to track spending, but it is absolutely necessary. Regardless of how much money you make, if you don't track your household spending, you are wasting money. Gail Vaz-Oxlade is the money guru on the show & I absolutely adore her. Please check out her website at http://www.gailvazoxlade.com/ and quit making up excuses! Here are some links from her website, there is something for everyone:

Here is a link to a Microsoft Excel household budget template you can download free: budget.
I like this one because it breaks down different categories into details and it allows you to compare your projected costs with actual costs, along with projected income and actual income.
